Studios' Market Shares

Happily, cartoons are a large part of our fine entertainment conglomerates' money piles.

2014 STUDIO MARKET SHARE to August 3

1) FOX---$1.157 BILLION

2) WARNER BROTHERS---$997 MILLION

3) BUENA VISTA---$970 MILLION

4) SONY---$919 MILLION

5) UNIVERSAL---$738 MILLION

6) PARAMOUNT---$615 MILLION

... and then, the small fry.

7) LIONSGATE---$300 MILLION

8) OPEN ROAD---$123 MILLION

9) RELATIVITY---$117 MILLION

10) WEINSTEIN---$90 MILLION

The Lego Movie, Rio 2, How To Train Your Dragon 2, and of course Frozen have all fattened bottom lines. There should be similar or better results next year when releases from Pixar and other animation studios crop up. (There be sequels ahead!)
