Brave, Ralph and Guardians top Annie noms

The nominations for the ASIFA-Hollywood Annie Awards were announced today, with Pixar's Brave, Disney's Wreck-It Ralph and DreamWorks's Rise of the Guardians receiving ten nominations each.

Laika/Focus's ParaNorman and Sony Animation's Hotel Transylvania each received eight, while Frankenweenie and The Pirates! Band of Misfits each received five. In the Best Animated Feature category, those seven films were joined by GKIDS' The Rabbi's Cat.

Oscar Grillo, Terry Gilliam and Mark Henn were announced to receive the Winsor McCay Award. Howard Green will receive the June Foray Award and Toon Boom will receive the Ub Iwerks Award.
