First weekend of May B.O. Results

As Mr. Hulett pointed out, these result represent the first Box Office race of the 2011 summer season. As we can see, we have early Tent-Pole successes ..

While Nikki puts the estimated cumulative b.o. total for Rio at $114mil, another source puts the global total well above that number. Methinks Blue Sky and its distribution partner Fox have reason to celebrate their business venture. Methinks the viewing public should look forward to more success from them in the future.

Conversely, the brothers Weinstein have reason for concern over their representative in the race. Although, its still early and the international tickets have yet to be tallied.

We hope everyone had a pleasant and enjoyable weekend. Be sure to get plenty of rest to recharge for the coming week.
